A gentle knock at your door: warm herbal tea, fresh fruit, and a soft lantern to guide you to the balloon launch site. The stillness before sunrise on the escarpment is a gift in itself.

05:30 AM: Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Safari

Drift silently over the vast Mara ecosystem as the sky transforms from indigo to gold. Below: giraffe, hippo pods, zebra herds, and — if fortune favours — a wildebeest river crossing at the Mara River. Your pilot narrates the landscape with quiet reverence. Approximately 60–75 minutes aloft.

07:30 AM : Champagne Bush Breakfast

Land to a white-linen table set in the open wild — sparkling wine, farm eggs, artisan breads, fresh fruit, and Kenyan coffee. One of the most iconic mornings available anywhere in Africa.

10:00 AM: Return to Camp · Yoga on the Escarpment

Join your retreat yoga guide at Fig Tree Hill — Angama’s most iconic outdoor yoga location, perched on the very edge of the escarpment. An 60-minute morning practice focused on breath, opening, and presence, with the Mara spread endlessly below you.

11:30 AM :Spa Morning — Women’s Wellness Treatments

Angama’s wellness studio hosts a full spa morning for the group. Choose from a signature African botanical body treatment, a hot stone massage, or a restorative facial. Each treatment incorporates indigenous Kenyan ingredients — baobab, moringa, and red clay.

01:30 PM: Private Gourmet Lunch

A light, nourishing lunch served on the private terrace of Angama Above — a sommelier-curated wine pairing accompanies the seasonal tasting menu. Unhurried, indulgent, and spectacular.

03:00 PM: Maasai Women’s Beading Workshop

A private cultural experience in partnership with the Angama Foundation’s Maasai women artisans. Sit with the women of the local Maasai community to learn the language of beadwork — its colours, its stories, its significance. You’ll craft a piece to take home. A deeply moving exchange of cultures.

05:00 PM: Women’s Wellness Sunset Circle 

As the sun descends, gather at a private kopje for a guided reflection circle led by your retreat facilitator. Journaling, sharing, and stillness. Sundowners — including signature non-alcoholic botanical elixirs — are served. This is the heartbeat of the retreat.

08:00 PM:Private Dinner at the Glass House

An intimate dinner is served inside Angama’s iconic glass-walled dining space, lit by candlelight and the last glow of dusk. The evening menu is crafted around bold Kenyan flavours: nyama choma reimagined, ugali elegantly plated, passion fruit desserts. Wine, stories, and laughter.

05:45 AM : Dawn Big Cat Game Drive

The most rewarding hours for wildlife. Your expert guide tracks lion, leopard, and cheetah in the first light of morning — when predators are active and the grasslands glow amber. This is Angama at its most raw and extraordinary.

09:00 AM : Return to Camp · Morning Yoga & Breathwork

A shorter, more meditative morning practice back at the studio — breathwork, gentle movement, and silent reflection. Followed by a nourishing breakfast at the terrace.

11:00 AM: Private Maasai Village Cultural Visit

Transfer to a traditional Maasai village for a respectful, private cultural immersion — warrior dances, fire-starting demonstrations, a guided tour of traditional manyatta homes, and a visit to the village artisan market. A portion of your visit fee directly funds the Angama Foundation’s community programmes.

01:30 PM : Lunch at Camp — The Long Table

Return to camp for a shared long-table lunch — the day’s most social meal, filled with stories from the morning. A grazing spread of Kenyan and continental dishes, served family-style.

03:30 PM: Guided Bush Walk with a Maasai Warrior

Lace up your boots for an intimate guided walk through the Mara bush accompanied by a Maasai warrior and your camp naturalist. This is wildlife on foot — reading tracks, identifying medicinal plants, and understanding the ecosystem at ground level. A perspective no vehicle can offer.

06:00 PM: Escarpment Sundowners — Private Champagne Moment 

Return to the edge of the escarpment as golden hour turns to dusk. Champagne, canapés, and 270-degree views over the Mara Triangle and Tanzanian plains — one of the world’s great views at one of the world’s great hours.

08:30 PM: Stargazing & Camp Bonfire 

After dinner, your guide leads an informal stargazing session in the absence of light pollution — the Milky Way is extraordinary from the Mara. Gather around the fire for the evening: stories of the bush, Maasai legends, and the soft crackle of the fire as the night fills with sound.

6:00 AM: Final Sunrise Game Drive

One last morning in the wild — your guide takes you to favourite locations from across the retreat: the leopard’s favoured acacia, the lion pride’s resting ground, the hippo pool at first light. A final communion with the Mara.

9:00 AM: Return to Camp · Closing Wellness Circle

A final group gathering — tea, reflection, and an exchange of intentions to carry home. Your retreat facilitator guides a short closing ritual to integrate the experience. Each guest receives a handwritten note from the Angama team and a personalised gift from the Maasai artisans.

10:30 AM : Farewell Bush Brunch

An unhurried, celebratory farewell brunch on the terrace — fresh Kenyan fruits, eggs to order, pastries, and freshly brewed Kenyan coffee. Toast to the journey, the connections made, and the wild that changed you. Personalised thank-you gifts from the Angama team are presented.

12:30 PM : Departures & Airstrip Transfer

Your Angama host and butler accompany your luggage to the airstrip. A final look back at the escarpment, the plains, the horizon. Board your private charter back to Nairobi Wilson Airport — toast the journey with a parting glass of Krug Grande Cuvée as the Mara disappears beneath the clouds.

01:30 PM: Arrival at Wilson Airport, Nairobi 

Land at Wilson Airport where a private vehicle awaits to transfer you onward. You leave carrying the Mara within you — transformed, rested, and deeply alive.
