You will be picked up at your hotel within the morning after breakfast and head towards Machame

Gate from Arusha. At the gate, you’ll be registered by the park National authorities. Once everything is ready you’ll start your trek into the lush rainforest. there’s the chance of spotting some Black-and-White Colobus monkeys on the thanks to Machame camp, which will take you about 5 to six hours to achieve. you’ll spend the night just above the forest line at 3010meters.

Today the trail is somewhat steeper than on day one but it’s maybe a shorter stretch and you should reach your destination by early afternoon. After some rest, you’ve got the choice to hike further to Shira 2 Camp for beautiful views of the Shira Plateau. Mount Meru, the second-highest mountain in Tanzania, is often seen within the distance. The night is going to be spent at New ShiraCamp.

The first sunlight marks the beginning of your final ascent towards the summit. it’ll be a slow and arduous 2 hours some before you reach the best point in Africa, Uhuru Peak, which towers above anywhere else in Africa at 5895 meters. From the height, you’ll be able to see the surrounding summits, glaciers, and landscapes being lit up by the nice and cozy morning sun – a very unforgettable experience. After a brief break and therefore the mandatory summit pictures, you’ll return to Barafu Camp where the remainder of the climbing crew will await you. Here you’ll have a while to rest and a much-needed warm meal is served. Afterward, you may continue your descent to Mweka Camp (3080m) which can take you about 3 hours. At Mweka Camp you will have a night meal followed by a well-deserved deep night’s sleep.
